Basically she is a self-taught artist. Lives in desert/Palmdale Californa area and because of her Native American heritage she is driven to incorporate both her love and passion for the desert and Native-American culture in her work. And due to her limitied hand mobility she works on small format and illustrates original drawings with marker colored pens whenever she can.
She has been interested in art since she was a young girl but did not pursue it until later
in her life. She has worked as a caregiver for mentally challenged persons for most of her
adult life until illness and cancer prevented her from continuing in this profession. She is
now in recovery

Since 2006, my work has involved the creation of conceptually based imagery as both a single focus or more expansive by pursing the complexities of combining different levels of photographic and graphic elements. In my work, I also tend to focus on images of ordinary life along with the abstract, which suits my curiosity for creating various perspectives. My work also pushes to dissect the dynamics of bold compositions with colorful statements as well as the transformation of opposing sizes and shapes. These themes often allow me to embellishing my work with the threads of digital manipulation. A journey that continues to uncover the mysteries or edge I seek with each new work.
I usually work on several bodies of work concurrently. These include creating new imagery or focusing on collective pieces that I want to formulate as artistic books or other challenging aspects of consumer products. In other words, the various bodies of work I create I like to piece together as a unified journey not only to enjoy on a personal level but to also include as part of our daily lives.
Today, the aspiration to explore new ideas as well as the changing colors of life is what my work is all about. |
